The heart behind Ndoto by Anju
Ndoto is not just a store—it is a dream that first bloomed in the heart of a 14-year-old girl, sketching visions of fabrics, colors, and the joy of gifting. Life took me on many different paths, but that little girl’s dream never faded. At 31, it returned to me—stronger, clearer, and ready to blossom. I’m Anju. I spent eight years in Canada, studying and working in healthcare—caring for others even as I felt myself slowly drifting away from my own roots. In 2025, life brought me back home to India when my health began to decline. The journey wasn’t easy, but it gave me something precious: the chance to rediscover myself and reconnect with my dream. Since childhood, I’ve carried a deep love for Indian traditional wear—the timeless weaves, the colors, the textures, the stories stitched into every fabric. They always felt like home. Alongside that there was another love: the joy of gifting. But living so far away in Canada, it was always difficult to send something special to my loved ones in India. That longing became one of the biggest reasons I created Ndoto— clothing store that celebrates Indian style with a special touch of gifting. Here, you can shop not only for yourself but also send a gift wrapped with love to your family and friends anywhere in India—complete with a memorable note, so your heart travels with it. It felt only right to give this dream a name that carried its true meaning. That’s when I found Ndoto—the Swahili word for ‘dream.’ This store is my childhood dream finally taking shape, and my hope is that it becomes more than just a store—may it become a way for you to send love, memories, and smiles to the people who mean the most.” Because Ndoto isn’t just mine—it’s a dream built to carry yours too.
